jo kal tak muhabbat ka izhaar the
wahi ab hawas ke bahaane lagay

lagaa`o na pehre yooN khushbu`oN par
haiN haasil meN jin kay zamaane lagay

pighal jaate baahoN maiN jo thay kabhii
bahut faasle ab banaane lagay

guzishta jo shab ka hai aayaa khayaal
vo sharma ke ankheiN jhukaane lagay

jo poochhaa to keh daalii hai dil kii baat
na kehna tujhe ab rulaane lagay
