Shards of Glass

[Rohin]

As I walk through the dark room
the palm of my legs feel a prick
shards of glass all over the place
something seems to be broken
a million pieces there must be
Every piece make the same sound
I reach for the light switch
all i can see now are broken pieces
account of which I can't make
I know not to put it together again
But only hope that time can mend


This poetry is an example of a thought which struck like lightening.... and the kind of poetry I like most.... layers after layers of meaning... a lot of digging needs to be done to reveal the true meaning....

I cautiously entered the Dark Room
As I step in, I feel a prick
it seems like a piece of glass
something seems to be broken
I reach for the light switch

Reflection of self in all
I know not to put it together again

For the last few creations of mine I have been trying to capture the evolution of my thoughts and the poetry over a period of time. Sometimes I find better words and sometimes better flow. I hope I am not disturbing the ethos of the forum. Please let me know otherwise and I shall refrain from doing so.
