Naqaab-e-rukh-e-pinhaan utha bhi dey
Sar-e-bazm tu jalwa dikha bhi dey

Wafa tuney merey saath kab kiya
Daga di hai toh mujh ko wafa bhi dey

Tabeeyat meri na-saaz hai bohat
Dawa dey ho sakey toh dua bhi dey

Zara dekh merey bagh ka ye haal
Merey bagh mai ek gul khila bhi dey

Merey haal se be-daar kar usey
Ke ehsaas-e-mohabbat jaga bhi dey

Merey mushkiley aasaan kar khuda
Khatawaar hu gar toh saza bhi dey

Zara jaan bhi ley dard-e-be-kasi
Agar poochey koi toh bata bhi dey

Hai kyu merey shehar ki hawa be-chain
Khuda iss ko sabaat-e-fiza bhi dey

Muqarrar duniya mai bhala hai kaun
Mujhe yaar se ya-rab mila bhi dey

Nahi zaib terey rukh ko ye malaal
Mujahid tu gham-e-dil bata bhi dey
