rig veda
saama veda
atharvana veda
and
yajur veda

i dont i am not into vedas much tho

thanx ankitji for ur kind help and support u show. well kevinji, u know, its very difficult to learn the vedas. and one who learns everything, becomes the most knowledgeable person on this earth. and moreover, for that, u'll have to study deep sanskrit and i really don't like sanskrit, but, i visited the site and it was pretty good.

well i am not that good in sanskrit .. but i was able to understand it a lil... the translation goes as follows ...

the friend who comes in times of difficulty is a very true freind,
the person who comes in your oldage .... i dont know the rest .. its been like 5 to 6 years since i finished my collage and i am not in touch with sanskrit so can you please tell me what is it?

u were partly correct. the scientific meaning of that is simple-a friend in need is a friend indeed. and if u go by the literal meaning, it means, a friend who helps u in ur bad times is ur true friend as in good times, ur enemies also become ur friends.
