Dikhaiye dikhaiye chaand to dikhaiye,
Rukh se apne aaj nakaab to hataiye,

Pankhudiyan ye hontho kee jara to hilaiye,
Bolta hua hame aaj gulaab to dikhaiye,

Gaalon ko sharam se laal to karaiye,
Mila ke adayein fir shabab to banaiye,

Julfon kee lat jara gaalon se hataiye,
Bikhra ke unhe fir khwaab to dikhaiye,

Utha ke nazrein jara haule se jhukaiye,
Mila ke kajal fir sharaab to pilaiye,

Ek roj milke saath shaam ko manaiye,
Jindagi ka ek din mera lazawaab to banaiye,


एक हाथ में दिल उनके एक हाथ में खंजर था
चेहरे पे दोस्त का मुखौटा अजीब सा मंजर था
