Hi there
Just wondered if anyone from Shayri.com was going to the play, Bulha, based on the life and times of the great sufi poet Bulleh Shah?
Ajoka, the acclaimed theatre company from Pakistan, present BULHA – a tribute to the great Punjabi Sufi mystic Bulleh Shah as communicated through his poetry, sung by a Qawwal party lead by Javed Bashir & Arif Ali.
Bulleh Shah, affectionately called ‘Bulha’, lived in turbulent times. He challenged the status quo while his belief in God brought him into conflict with establishment and orthodoxy.
His was a voice for humanism, peace and love. His poetry is today recognised the world over and widely performed on the world music circuit.
