fareb khate rahe dosti nibhate rahe,
wafa parast the,duniya se dil lagate rahe.

hamne sab chhod diya tha jinhe pane ke liye,
vo be rahem the hume umra bhar rulaate rahe.

jane kya dikhta tha unko meri chahet me ajeeb,
har kisi mod par vo mujhko aajmate rahe.

kaisi yaadon ki parchai thi unki mujhpar,
vo yaad aate rahe hum jinhe bhulaate rahe.

vo mil sake na mil saki kabhi wafa unki,
aur duniya ko, unhe dost hum batate rahe.

Aise to lafja yun bhatkate rah jayenge,
Koi parh lega to alfaj suku payege...
